Febraury Update

Dear All,

Welcome to Febraury's Update. This month I have been organising a group exhibition to take place in March. On show will be an eclectic mix of work; both paintings and photographs, landscapes and still lifes, from a group of talented, young artists.

Alice Hall is a painter in oil and watercolours. She has been experimenting with night paintings, as well as working on portraits and cityscapes of London and abroad. www.alicehall.co.uk

Kate Kuzminova has worked mainly in portraiture and still life photography, both editorial and fine art. All of her work is incredibly beautiful and composed, just like her. www.ekaterinakuzminova.com

Ed Haynes is also a photographer whose work on Covent Garden will be on show. His images are always vivacious and capture the raw essence of his situation. www.edwardhaynes.co.uk

Hannah Palmer will be showing a selection of work from her previous exhibitions as well as a few new pieces that have never been exhibited before. www.hannahpalmerphotography.co.uk

Portrait of the Month

This month's portrait is of the Allans.

"My brothers and I are thrilled with the photos that Hannah has taken, which were a 50th birthday present for our parents. She has a refreshingly relaxed approach and manner, putting us all at ease, including my impatient 8 year old brother. The whole experience was a pleasure, from studio session through to delivery of the terrific portraits."

If you would like to enquire about booking a portrait session please email me.

As Promised

Lesson One: Try to smile when photographing yourself.

January Update

Happy New Year to you all.

This is the first of my new monthly newsletters, a chance for me to keep you updated on my projects and show you some examples of what I've been working on.

My website has had a January de-clutter and has been pared down to represent my two main photographic interests, portraits and exhibition prints. So please click HERE to browse.

I have been working hard in my Fulham studio creating portraits for a wide range of people from family groups to individuals and even myself, with some amusing self portraits as a result. If you're lucky one might be February's Photo of the Month.

January has also meant getting back to the darkroom and starting work on a collection of prints for a future exhibition. I am also currently planning to have an interim, group exhibition within the next couple of months, so watch this space.

Rosalie Watkins is an amazing portrait painter who trains and works at Lavender Hill Studios in Battersea.

"Hannah makes having your portrait taken a very relaxed and unintimidating experience. I don't usually like pictures of myself but I thought that these were beautifully composed, thoughtful portraits."
